Archer’s 30th Anniversary

Show

A Celebration of Legacy, Community, and Purpose

On view from November 5th - January 14th, 2026

Archer’s School for Girls is proud to announce the opening of its 30th Anniversary Show, a vibrant exhibition celebrating the school’s rich and enduring history. The show will open on Wednesday November 5th at lunch time, and will be on view through January 14th.

Curated by Ms. Alford, Ms. Kremin, and students from the ESG team, this exhibition draws from the Archer archives to present a dynamic journey through the school's timeline. Visitors will be guided through key moments in Archer’s history, experiencing a curated blend of photographs, artworks, installations, and sound pieces that capture Archer’s evolution and community spirit.

Highlights of the exhibition will include:

  • A timeline of Archer’s main events, illustrated with archival photographs and student artworks.

  • Alumni recordings sharing personal stories and memories, offering a unique perspective on the school’s legacy.

  • Sound installations that feature curated playlists that evoke the atmosphere of the different eras of Archer.

  • Collaboration with the school’s communications team and Ms. Soto, who oversees the physical archive that resides in the library, to ensure the inclusion of rare digital and physical materials.

Special Features Include:

  • A recreation of the original stained glass from the original Eastern Star home, worked on by Nora B. and Valerie G. They utilized materials, such as paint and paper to honor a foundational principle of creativity.

  • An art piece by Liv K., who will transform old uniform logos into a new, meaningful installation.

  • A mini maypole installation, a piece that will make use of the same ribbon used in all past ceremonies, honoring a primary tradition that makes Archer unique.

  • A showcase of the suit worn by Archer Co-Founder Dr. Diana Meehan when she met with the Eastern Star board members about purchasing the building.

This exhibition is a testament to the creativity, dedication, and community spirit that have defined Archer for three decades. We invite students, alumni, faculty, and friends to join us in celebrating this milestone and to reflect on the journey of Archer.
